Award winning shorts director, Juli C. Lasselle, makes her directorial debut with this dramatic film about the relationship between two sisters who have been impacted by the horrific legacy of incest. Set in a small town in the Northern California Delta, the restrained direction and rich cinematography invites the audience to experience the aftereffects of incest on adult survivors, their friends, and loved ones. As relationships are challenged by lies and infidelity; worlds shift and courage is found. A European sensibility and a sense of humour bring a fresh approach to this challenging subject matter.

Living in her childhood home in Locke, CA, Anna, a fine art photographer, finds herself unable to let go of the abuse her father inflicted on her as a child.

When Mia, Anna's sister, and Mia’s fiancé, Eric, arrive in the country in order to celebrate their engagement with Mia’s best friend, Kate, and Kate’s husband, Rhys, Anna does her best to join in the celebration. However, the celebration takes a backseat when her ex-boyfriend, George, arrives uninvited, Mia continues to avoid and deny the past, and Anna’s unresolved childhood issues are triggered when Eric sexually accosts her. Torn between her shame and her need to tell the truth, Anna must confront her own demons and learn what she is willing to sacrifice in order to be free from the memories that keep her locked in silence and fear.

The weekend in Locke is a key to unlock the past, as they all struggle to find the balance between their personal histories and their present desires.
One weekend, two sisters, and a secret.
